Saudi German Hospital Sharjah

Positive experience: My daughter gave birth at Saudi German Hospital in Sharjah. For five days, her newborn cried continuously. Despite being seen by three pediatric specialists, none of them identified that the baby had a tongue-tie. They simply said the baby was dehydrated due to external heat evaporating the milk. When we visited an outside doctor, he immediately diagnosed the tongue-tie and released it within a minute. The baby was instantly more comfortable and began gaining weight after losing nearly half a kilo in just five days. It’s disappointing that none of the hospital doctors noticed this — it was finally the ER doctor at the same hospital who suspected the issue but I have to say that the Gynecologist and department of Gynecology they are super cooperative and professionals

Negative experience: very slow response. got insurance approval for a procedure but no call from hospital, continuously called for two days... (this was during normal weekdays not even weekend) to book appointment which should be the other way round. finally had to ask them to cancel the insurance request so I can move to another hospital.

Negative experience: The worst hospital ever, doctors are good but Insurance department are the worst !!! my insurance company literally approves my claims in 2 minutes and they take 2 days to even raise the claim to my company!!!! and its an insulin !!! waiting for 2 days to get my insulin!!! while my company approves in less than 2 minutes!!! i dont recommend this hospital if you want to save your time and you want a smooth visit .

Fantastic experience: i was rushed to the ER yesterday due to severe migraine with 3 episodes of vomiting and numbness on the left side of my body. i was accommodated right away by the ER doctor, kudos to Dr Michael and his nurses ofcourse to the whole ER team that night. there werent a lot of processes needed to be done before being accommodated which usually was the reality in the hospitals in the UAE—no a lot of paper works and questions at the FD, they just got my EID, took me in to take my vitals and have me seated on an ER bed. although my insurance didnt cover the consultation and the IV pain meds (for idk what reason) the cost is affordable. the hospital is clean and organized. everything is pretty straight forward. thank you Saudi German Hospital.

Fantastic experience: Try to book the appointment as early as possible. Booking afternoon means you gonna stay for a couple of hours even if you have a booking! Pharmacy takes plenty of time to get the medicine from 2:00 PM till 9:00 PM. All early morning appointments are amazing!

Negative experience: I had an appointment scheduled with the Ortho for 03/05/25, which was booked yesterday. Since this morning, I’ve received three separate calls requesting to reschedule due to the doctor being unavailable. After confirming the new time, I received yet another call saying the doctor had an emergency and wouldn’t be able to review my case at all today. I’ve repeatedly informed the team that I’m unable to walk and that my injury is severe, yet there seems to be no consideration for the urgency of my condition. This is extremely disappointing and reflects very poorly on the quality of service provided.

Negative experience: Long waiting times and there are only two employee working in the receptions to register the patient for more than 5 doctors working in the same time . Although I had booked my appointment through the app and came 20 minutes before my appointment , I have waited for more than 30 minutes and am still waiting until now just to check in

I must say their assistance provided to me from the time I walked in at reception till the time of being discharged from Hospital was exceptional. A warm welcome at reception followed by immediate checks by the nurse and shifted to treatment room was immediate. Doctor was local (Emarati) don't remember his name but truly had a excellent experience with the doctor and he was so professional and genuinely caring and attentive. Nurses was so caring so was the team. Also received a call on the following day after visit from the German saudi hospital customer care team staff (Halima) to check on me how I was feeling, that really made my day and felt so good how the hospital is caring for their patients. I appreciate the compassionate care and would highly recommend Saudi German hospital.

Negative experience: Every time we come with my kids, paediatricians gives antibiotics, without any blood or other tests. When it’s obviously clear that the kids has a virus. When you have running nose - antibiotics, when you have sore throat- antibiotics. Ridiculous.

Negative experience: My wife had an injury in her foot and I took her to emergency in SGH SHJ. I spent more than 40 minutes in the morning today waiting for the x ray technician to come from home. No technician was available to serve emergency department. Only on call person!!! Is that a liic in a hospital?!!

Negative experience: Very very bad experience from admin & insurance team. They treat us very badly. They lagged all the procedures . I didn’t see this much laziest people in my entire life.

Positive experience: So much delay and waiting, more than 15 minutes waiting for clinic reception, another around 15 minutes for reception process. No clear directions by reception or nurses. Branch is a small, waiting halls are crowded, rooms are so small. Call center is fast and helpful. Dr. Ahmad Saad Zaghlool is so amazing and honest.
