The entire medical team, including consultants, nurses, and front desk staff, has been highly professional, attentive, and compassionate in both pre- and post-care settings. On multiple occasions, I received timely and helpful responses from the relevant departments, who took the time to clarify my concerns and address my queries in a meaningful way. Our recent visit, which included a colonoscopy performed by Dr. Rahul Nathwani, went exceptionally smoothly. His approach was reassuring, and the procedure was carried out with great professionalism and care. While the services may be on the higher end in terms of cost, the quality of care and attention we receive makes it well worth it. He's very professional and understands the patients problem well and treats suitably resulting in very good results. Negative experience: It was system down at my appointment. Unfortunately, nurses name Jinoy and Fatiha at the reception did not approach myself or patients at waiting area but just hiding behind the desktop. Appointment at 3.20pm and I were sitting at the waiting area until 3.45pm, finding out myself in between that system down then system up by 2 of nurses conversation. Due to long waiting, myself approaching to the nurse Fatiha, then doctor's nurse came out, and I got to know that I am not even register due to system down. Without myself approach to the nurse at reception, am I going to sit there until night ? When I raised my concerns / complaint to doctor's nurse, Jinoy just beside us and aware of the converation but acting busy without feeling totally sorry of her unprofessional behaviour. This is totally ridiculous, unprofessional and unacceptable on how staff handling the system down at a huge organisation / hospital like Mediclinic City Hospital. Staff / nurses hiding behind desktop, doing nothing, no checking to patients at waiting area, no advising that system down and they will trying level best to assisting patients, and did not feeling sorry on their lack of professionalism. All the times, the nurse Jinoy still did not realize her mistake, but acting like a child or a funny joke after I raised a complaint to doctor's nurse and assist by registrarion nurse requesting for their names. As a patient, myself coming to consulting Dr. Anfal due to existing symptoms and get treatment on it. Due to unprofessional staff, extremely unfortunately, it caused me to get little high blood pressure, which unacceptable and ridiculous to a hospital add more condition to already unwell patient, before even consult to doctor. Yesterday I got a call from head of nurse department, as per her advised and explained, instead of nurses already well trained handling such situation which can happening at any times, but they being advising or train what should do in the meeting after system down a day before and patient already complaints to the unprofessional nurses. What happened makes me regret choosing Mediclinic City Hospital, and unfortunately, I still need to going back again for following up for tests results.

Fantastic experience: I just want to take a moment to express my gratitude for the absolutely amazing Nurse Laila Dsouza at City Hospital (Dr. Karim El Masry's nurse). I’ve been a patient of Dr. Karim’s for some time now, and I can honestly say that Laila is such a bright and cheerful person. Her kindness and professionalism always make every visit feel more comfortable and reassuring. Together with Dr. Karim, who is equally wonderful, they make such an incredible team. It's rare to find this perfect blend of expertise, warmth, and genuine care, and I feel so fortunate to have them both looking after me.

Fantastic experience: I gave birth on the 26 January for the second time at City Hospital. My overall experience is outstanding . Firstly my OBG Dr Gadah was amazing. The way she treated me throughout the 9months and during delivery was outstanding with so much grace and patience. I would highly recommend her. Her calming nature during delivery was positive. The midwife Louise was incredible and supportive during my labour constantly supporting me and motivating me. She had so much patience and grace while handling everything. The maternity ward staff was extremely helpful, experienced and had so much patience too. The night nurse helped me with everything from taking a shower to breastfeeding despite this being the second baby. When calling for assistance they came immediately especially Theya The lactation consultant Maya was so knowledgeable and came to visit me twice with valuable advice. Thank you to the team for making my birth experience positive allowing me to have a great start of an important journey giving me a positive mental health

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing stay at 4th floor day ward. All staff are friendly and accommodating. Special mention to Nurse Neethu Nair and Filipina nurse, they let me experience what excellent care is from welcoming to the ward till discharge. I am also grateful to Dr. Tamara my OB for taking care of me from surgery to visiting me to the ward. Thank you! ♥️

Positive experience: 2hrs of wait to see the doctors. My appointment was rushed because she was late. And didnt felt she took enough time to care of me. Super expensive and this place is way too big and like a factory

Positive experience: It was my first time to be in this hospital and I found the Hospital very nice, clean with very stylish and modern facilities (just like most hospitals here in Dubai). It’s also well-situated just beside the metro thus very accessible which is a really great advantage. The food served was good as well. The nurses and staff were friendly. I thought all was good until after a few days later, I’m saddened by how my discharge was handled: 1) They did not inform me about the billing payments to be made nor gave me any billing documentation after I got discharged. Then I got a call 4 days later that I have a pending payment to be made and need to pay it online. I was asking for the billing docs before I make the payment but the guy who called told me that I have to pay first. (I’m still waiting for my receipt and billing details as of this writing) 2) Some of the medicines I got from the pharmacy also did not contain the 2-week worth prescribed but only for 1 week. This, I realized after starting to take the meds the following day and reading through the sticker notes on the packets. When the nurse explained to me my meds, she said it contains all the count needed for the duration prescribed so I did not bother to check when I left the hospital. Now I have to go back to get more as those meds are not available in usual pharmacies. I guess I’ll just count it as ‘lessons learned’ from my end, and to take this as caution next time (not hoping to be hospitalized again) to save me from the hassle and inconvenience.

They went out of their way to overcome some challenges and organize my medical care and surgery, so that it fully fits my schedule and requirements. The nurses on the maternity ward are so kind, understanding and experienced, in particular Manju, Mable, Florinda, Okeybele and Reshaya these ladies are really excellent at their job! Fantastic experience: I had surgery with Dr. Roger Gerjy, he fixed my 2 spigelian hernias using DaVinci robotic technique. The procedure went smooth, I was on my feet after a few hours and back home on the same day. The recovery was quick and easy, so much faster and less painful than after the traditional laparoscopic technique. The follow up was also accurate and caring, that is why I strongly recommend Dr. Jergy and City Hospital overall.

It's been more than 3 days am trying to reach the nurse or the doctor herself to give the go ahead that am ready to take the treatment plan and for them to start taking insurance approvals and all. But none of them can be reached. No progress whatsoever. The doctors and nurses of this hospital are too busy to follow up on their patients who need urgent treatment. I tried my side.My child is in pain. Iv decided to go ahead with another hospital who gets back to me in no time and for me to know my child is in good hands.

Negative experience: I am writing this review as a deeply concerned family member. My sister was admitted to Mediclinic City Hospital due to a broken leg while already battling stage 4 cancer. She was brought in through the emergency and was scheduled for surgery. This is where we encountered our first problem. On the day of the surgery, the hospital staff struggled to calculate the cost that needed to be requested from the insurance. They submitted a request, canceled it, and then submitted it again, causing unnecessary delays. While all this was happening, a staff member approached my sister, telling her that if the insurance approval was not obtained, we would need to make an immediate payment, otherwise, they couldn’t proceed with the operation. This caused immense stress, which was already a difficult situation. If the hospital policy is to take a refundable deposit in such cases, they should have communicated it clearly. But what if a patient cannot afford the deposit at that moment? Should they be left to suffer? When we asked if they could accept a guaranteed cheque instead, the hospital refused and insisted on an immediate payment through a link. The most frustrating part is that the insurance approval was received at 12:30 pm, but the hospital pressured us into paying them at 1:16 pm – a full 46 minutes later! It was either a case of someone ignoring their emails or deliberately stalling to secure the deposit. When we questioned this, the staff simply said, “Let us check,” with no further explanation or apology. After the surgery, we requested a refund, as they had promised in their emails. However, while they can take a deposit within minutes, the refund, as per their policy, takes 7 days! Another issue arose during discharge. Unfortunately, we couldn’t leave the hospital on the same day as planned due to delays in acquiring the necessary supplies. We requested to stay one more night, to which the hospital agreed, but only if we deposited AED 4,000 upfront – AED 2,000 for the stay (as if it’s a 5-star hotel!) and an additional AED 2,000 as a deposit for any extra medication. We explained that we were okay to pay at the time of discharge, but they insisted on immediate payment. To my shock, the response was: “Find the money or leave.” This was communicated to me directly by the duty manager on the night of 26.09.2024. I could not believe the lack of compassion shown. When I suggested that they convey this message directly to my sister, they refused, continuing to pressure me instead. I ended up paying because I had no other choice. My sister’s health was on the line. The doctors here are good and genuinely care for their patients. However, the operations and back-office teams are extremely unprofessional and insensitive. I do not recommend this hospital to anyone because of the management's lack of empathy and communication. If you have other options, use them. Please share your stories and speak out; don't let experiences like this go unnoticed. Your family's health and well-being deserve much better.

Negative experience: Bad service, repeated with poor communications and worst improfessional attitude This is what I have to sumnarise my experience with the departmwnt of ENT at Mediclinic City Hospital Me being a regular visitor of this chain have never seen such a horrible and embarrassing situation I took an appointment with an ENT surgeon, was seen and diagnosed for some small procedure. Which was applied late by the nursing dept for insurance , so I wasted 3 weeks till it got approved Then I was given an appoinment after 1 month (as doctor was travelling) to see him on sept 15 I got a call on 14th that doctor want to reschedule the appointment to a later date, I asked the person to connect me with the nursing staff, what I got instead was a rude text message from city hospital that your appointment has been cancelled!!! - ( for what ??? Am I seeing him for free? Is this kind of a charity??) Then on top of it I got no call back despite my reminders and calls till after the weekend to be informed that the insurance has incorrectly approved the treatment as dental instead of oral issue , and the nursing staff told me that, she will have to reapply for this rather simple approval!! ( what's going on, guys !) Have been wasting my time with calling the call center but no one seems to care at Mediclinic, hence this poor review customer" spending over hundr Worst possible service, repeated se oral times

Late in appointment time 40 min Just I stay with doctor 5 min He is not listening carefully and does not completely explain the case . Just he left us sitting in his office and said, "Nurses, she will take care !!! There are descriptions of this medicine. You need to take it 3 times ! Where descriptions? No body give us it !! The next day, after 3 hours, call and complain in the mean hospital telephone.' The nurses call me and say,' Now I sent you the descriptions by mail !!!
