Negative experience: PEOPLE WAKE-UP , there are good dentists. unfortunately bad experience. It's time for the chief doctor to retire. The filling was placed without cleaning the tooth well . I had to go back to update. I the implant fell off. ONLY throwing money

Fantastic experience: I cannot speak highly enough about all the staff at Advanced American Dental. My 3 daughters have all seen Dr Tim for extensive orthodontic treatment and he and his team have all been brilliant: extremely knowledgeable, professional, patient and very very kind. The administration staff are also very professional and so lovely. We found out about this clinic through a friends recommendation and I have no hesitation in recommending them to others. The best in Abu Dhabi!!

Fantastic experience: I am going to the clinic in Abu Dhabi since 2007, receiving all sorts of treatment - fillings, crowns, root canal, gum treatment, cleaning. Dr. Uldrich Wandel is the most professional dentist I’ve ever met. He is thorough, explains the treatment and the why. He constantly visits courses for further training, I consider him as pretty updated when it comes to dental procedures, techniques and equipment. For dental cleaning I regularly visit Ms. Eva Pavlinova. She is the most gentle and thorough hygienist I have ever been treated from. She also regularly goes for further training and is up to date regarding cleaning techniques and equipment. In most of the rooms there is relaxing background music in order to create a relaxed atmosphere. In conclusion, dental services from Dr. Uldrich and Ms. Eva are thorough and good. Thoroughness has it’s price. Therefore the bill can be higher than somewhere else, but the provided services are worth every penny.

Had my recent teeth cleaning with Eva. i never feel pain as opposed to other hygienists I have tried in the past . The advanced techniques and machines are amazing. Negative experience: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ! First of all very poor service they are simply corrupt they do not miss any chance to make more and more treatments, the dentist suggested 7 cavities fillings, They treated 3 but I went to a few other dentist as well later on and I had no cavities now I have fillings for no reasons .

Fantastic experience: Had a long history of TMJ problems and for several years I couldn't find a dentist able to solve my problems. Fortunately, I met with Dr. Ziegler who found that I had a bite alignment problems and did a great job to correct it. Highly recommended for this kind of problem involving TMJ, muscle pain, bite misalignment because it is not easy to find good practitioners elsewhere. Thank you for all the clinic staff who did an amazing job as well.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommending Dr. Ziegler, I had really bad history with other dentists and he helped me a lot and it changed my life. I've seen several dentists and I never felt better after he helped me with my TMJ problem. For more than a decade I've been suffering from my TMJ pain and he was the only one who helped me. I also did some implants and other procedures and I must say everyone in the clinic did a great job, from his assistants to the guys behind doing my crowns to the lovely receptionists. Overall I really had a great experience and will be recommending this clinic to everyone I know. I hope they get to help more people like me!

Negative experience: Very bad service. Very rude dentist Michael Zeigler. He took my money but didn't do the job. He promised to do an implants for me but didn't . From the beginning he was dishonest about my condition and treatment. Talked to a few people who had same experience. Money gone no treatment.

Negative experience: They are extremely and unreasonably expensive for no valid reason other than taking advantage of the current situation. They charged me AED 2000 for the extraction of 2 teeth from my 2 years old baby , really very disappointing experience.

Fantastic experience: I've been a client of Advanced American Dental Center since 2014. During this time, i've been followed by Dr. Grace that always excelled for her skills both professional and humans. All other doctors and hygienists I met, provided similar standards of high quality care. Same for the rest of the personnel, that takes care of you the moment you walk through the door. Such good quality does not come cheap, but i'd say it's money well spent for your health.

Fantastic experience: What an absolutely amazing experience and impeccable service by Dr. Moritz Bichler. I was considering doing veneers for a long time carefully observing what other people got done, and the artificial look of veneers made me think twice before committing to this pretty expensive work. That was the case until Dr. Moritz joined the Advanced American Dental Center. After a long, detailed conversation I understood that this doctor will be able to give my teeth a natural look - the look I was dreaming about for a long time. And oh my - how right was I!?! My teeth look as if they are done by Mother Nature. Shape, colour and shades of the veneers could not look any more natural! They are absolutely perfect! They fit my face features, skin tone and my age. Every single aspect was considered by Dr. Moritz in this work, and he was extremely patient with me and my long lists of questions during numerous visits to the practice. Fantastic experience: My son has been receiving treatment to sort his bite and teeth straightening. He has had plates, spacers and now braces. All the staff have been great, from reception, nurses and Dr Baker. Always helpful and pleasant. My sons teeth are looking great. Very happy with the treatment.

Fantastic experience: Great Staff, from the Reception to the Treatment Room. I was treated there for root infection. I saw Dr. Bichler for first aid and Dr. Sleiman for root canal treatment. Both Dentists were very skilled, considerate and treated me effectively. Additionally I liked about Dr. Bichler for being very calming/comforting and Dr. Sleiman for working very quick and versed. I highly recommend this Clinic.

Reception is fast and attentive. My doctors are warm and friendly. I miss my old doctors but absolutely happy with my new doctor!

Positive experience: Best clinic and dentist ever. I saw Dr Ziegler and he is very qualified and professional. I went for implant procedure and nobody can see the difference between the implant and my real teeth. I am very happy with the color and shape of it. I got great result. Also my kids are patients of Dr Grace, she is so patient with kids, she has big experience and knowledge. I will recommend this clinic to all my friends and relatives. It is trustable place.

Negative experience: Unfortunately one of the wort places to pick for dental work. Extremely and insanely expensive.They filled up the insurance papers for me thinking my insurance will cover it. However, they knew that the insurance is not covered and they fill up the papers to deceive you. They call their clinic American and being an American I’m expecting a doctor who studied and practiced in the USA not from South America. I would suggest going to another clinic, and save your time and money, my self selected Boston dental, they are professionals, honest, and the price is heaven. If I was a lawyer I would have sued them.

Negative experience: I went to the clinic for a gum problem. I arrived before my time(11:30) by half an hour and waited for my appointment. Dr. Mauricio was late to arrive. I was guided to the treatment room around 12PM as he arrived and was examining another patient. It was taking too long, I grabbed my stuff to leave. When I was informing the reception, his nurse called me back to the room saying he would come in 5 minutes. I waited outside to see him first. I was not going to waste time waiting in the room when I can do other stuff instead of waiting. I saw him and I went to the room. The nurse started wiping the table surface shouldn’t that be done before like once the clinic opens or before??? The building seems old and I couldn’t feel comfortable about the building and the dentist’s office’s hygiene. There were ants popping up in the table, from under the keyboard....I’m sorry, it didn’t seem like a clinic. He came, blubbered a lot. He seems knowledgeable, but talks very much. The problem I had with him, he coughed in his hands, tried to kill the ants with hands, picked something from the floor AND touched my cheek pointing at some tooth with the same hand. I won’t ever think of going back to such a clinic. I can’t rest assured that all the used materials and equipments would be clean to be used in somebody mouth. Another issue, I wasn’t informed that the clinic doesn’t deal with the insurance companies. I was shocked when they provided me with the treatment plan cost. I went to another clinic I visited before; a very clean, very professional dentist and right on time! They treated my gum issue under insurance for less than half the price Dr. Mauricio’s presented plan.

Negative experience: I am writing this to document my appalling experience at your clinic earlier today. To start with, I arrived just before my scheduled time only to find out that Dr. Mauricio had not arrived yet. We were ushered into a treatment room where we waited for 35 minutes until he finally arrived. On entering the room he failed to apologise for being late, failed say a simple greeting, or even acknowledge the patient (my mother) who was already in the treatment chair. Simply pointing at her he asked "Does she speak English?". And when I confirmed that she indeed does speak English quite well, he proceeded to completely ignore her and went straight to narrating to me the report that I had given his assistant before his arrival. Dr. Mauricio made a brief explanation of what he "saw" from the report I gave, made the briefest of clinical examinations, instructed his nurse to make new radiographs and a C.T. scan and left the room. After the scans, he returned back, INTERMITTENTLY, stepping in and out ever few minutes, juggling between patients in different chairs, as he made an incoherent explanation of his suggested treatment plan, all directed to me, and continuing to completely ignore the patient who informed him several times that she would like him to explain to her so she would understand what he is explaining. He finally left again and said he would be back. 15 minutes later, his nurse came back with a scrap piece of paper, with three scribbled treatment options on it, telling me that these are the options we should choose from but that he wanted one more radiograph. At this point, I got totally fed-up of the insensitive, uncaring, rude, unprofessional attitude and refused to complete the consultation and we left. In 2 hours and 20 minutes that we spent at your clinic (11:00am to 01:20pm) we saw Dr. Mauricio a combined total of roughly 20 minutes. I informed the front-desk of my pre-mature termination of the consultation, my complaint and my extreme dissatisfaction as I made the consultation payment in full. They promised to relay my complaint to Dr. Mauricio and the administration but ofcourse I have heard nothing from him or anyone after. I am extremely disappointed with the treatment I received at your clinic. I do not speak of dental treatment. I speak of professional patient management and care. Dr. Mauricio does not have time. Does not have interest. Does not have care. And quite honestly, simply does not have respect for his patients. It is a crying shame that a clinic as established as yours should condone, and ignore such terrible patient care. I am appalled.

Negative experience: Very very unhappy with their service. Been their patient since 2013. Had orthodontic treatment which I’m not happy about at all. It changed the shape of my lips. And my teeth are still not aligned properly. I had to go in 3-4 times for them to take impressions for my retainers because they couldn’t get it right. Everything has been a real torture from beginning to the end. The doctor (Dr John) was always in rush. Like I’m not the one paying thousands of dirhams for the service. Had to beg to talk to him most of the times. Because he was always in a rush rush rush. So frustrated I am. Wish I never started my treatment with them. However, the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Fantastic experience: I took my 5 year daughter for a check up at Dr Grace Eid in the Advanced American Dental Center after a friend recommended her. My friend always sang her praises and I was only convinced to book the appointment after I heard the same thing from other friends. I must say that I am glad i listened to their recommendation. Dr Grace Eid was very kind to my daughter, explaining to her what needed to be done. She even inflated one of her gloves and drew a face on it, and gave it to my daughter as a present to make her smile and relax. My daughter took the glove with her to school to show her friends. Thanks to her, taking my daughter to her routine dental check up is no longer a dreaded event.

Fantastic experience: I had a tooth extracted by Dr Grace Eid. She was very gentle and considerate. She took her time to explain the procedure to me and was very patient in answering all my queries. Dr Eid went out of her way to make the extraction as painless as possible. She is a very talented dentist with a kind heart. I always recommend her to my friends.

Fantastic experience: The entire family as been seeing Dr. Fernanda for almost two years now, she's highly professional and skilled in her field of work. Putting all that aside amongst her professional skill one of her greatest assets is her friendly disposition especially when dealing with children. I would have no reservations in recommending Dr. Fernanda especially for children.

When you live in a new country and city one of the most important things is to have good doctors that you can rely on and be comfortable with, and trust above all. I am extremely picky specially regarding dentists, so generally I would have treatments when I traveled to my home country. Luckily 3 years ago I found an outstanding dentist here in Abu Dhabi which excelled excellency, professionalism, attention for small details and most of all, would respond to all my queries regarding my teeth. This dentist is Dr. Maria Ines Diaz from Advance American Dental Centre. Whenever I visited her she would explain to me the procedure (several times if needed), she would answer all my doubts and made sure I was comfortable. She was always making sure I did not suffer any pain during the procedures and was extremely focused in fixing my teeth to match perfection and look like real teeth from the aesthetic point of view. I have recommended her to colleagues and friends since she has given me that assurance that she is an extremely talented dentist.

She always explains to me and my ten year old daughter what is happening and what kind of treatment needs to be done and why. Fantastic experience: Totally recommended! I booked an appointment with Dr. Maria after reading good reviews and comments on a Facebook page of expats in Abu Dhabi. Since then she is taking care of my dental health. The purpose of my visit was to change some fillings that were getting old. As most of the people, I didn’t like going to the dentist, but this time it was different, she was fantastic because I didn't feel anything at all. Dr. Maria change my old amalgams fillings to composite and did some cosmetic work on one of my teeth which look and feel completely natural. She was very professional during the treatment and explained me every step of the procedure in a very clear way. I would totally recommend her to anyone.

Fantastic experience: This is definitely the best in UAE. I wouldn't trust my dentistry to anyone else, not here or in the US. I come from the US to have my dentistry done by professionals recognized worldwide for excellence. My dentist in the US said I needed 2 root canals and 2 crowns. Advanced American Dental Clinic said I only needed 1 crown. I got it in August and feels great. These dentists are not out to take your money by doing unneeded work.

Negative experience: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! It is extremely expensive for poor services. I went to the clinic because I was in pain so because dr Ziegler was in vacation I went to the first dr who was available that day. I ended up seeing dr. Maria who did a root canal extraction for me. While she was doing that she decided to file my front tooth WITHOUT MY CONSENT!!! I had no idea she will do something cosmetic because she thought “it would look better”. I noticed at the end when she gave me the mirror that she made my perfectly fine front tooth smaller. I couldn’t believe my eyes!!!!! I started asking questions, how could she do something like that without telling me?? So then she said she’ll fix it. So she made it just a little bit longer with filling which was ONE SHADE DARKER THEN MY COLOR!!! I went afterwards to see dr Ziegler and explain him the situation. HE WAS SO UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE saying that she made me a favor and that he doesn’t see any difference in color!!! I will try to attach the pictures here so you can see the difference but it is A JOKE! DO NOT GO THERE! I am not confident in smiling again! They DISTROYED MY SMILE!!!! Dr Ziegler is the most unprofessional dentist I’ve ever seen and Dr Maria should have her license remove. These people shouldn’t be dentist! Oh and after 2 months, the filling broke (obviously) so now I am having a cracked front tooth! Shame to them! They call themselves dentists and professionals?! They shouldn’t have the licenses in the first place! And I’ve spent over 30.000 dhs in that clinic in the past 3 years for crowns, fillings, root canal and routine checkups. DO NOT DO THE SAME MISTAKE!!!

Positive experience: Could be better

Negative experience: My first experience with the dentistry in Abu Dhabi was extremely awful and painful. I decided to have a routine checkup to the Advanced American Dental Center without any real problem (just to be sure that everything its ok). They took plenty of X-rays and photos and they gave me, out of the blue, a feedback of extremely costing procedures that I have to do in order to fix my teeth. First procedure I decide to take on Monday 1/5/2017, was a redo a root canal (last mole upper right side) as according to them there was a infection below the root and needed to be cleaned. Although the doctor could see that it’s a difficult tooth which was almost attached to the sinus line, he decided to close the roots after the procedure, without allowing for drainage in case of complecations. Furthermore, he did not inform me on what to expect. The next dental appointment was the next day with another doctor to start the procedure for the crown. I informed the new doctor that I am swollen (glance also) and that I have unbearable pain after the root canal. She didn’t worry and she said that it is natural to feel some pain and experience swollen gum after a root canal operation. But just for precaution, I requested to skip the procedure for the crown for next day, and focused on another tooth. Next day, I visit again the second doctor to continue the procedure for the crown. I informed her that I still have a huge problem (pain and swollen gum) and she said I might need antibiotics (it was more a question, not a suggestion and definitely not a direction). I informed the doctor that I have problems when taking antibiotics and she said OK, let’s wait and see. She asked me If I want to continue with the procedure. She stated that there is no medical reason for not doing it, so we did it. On Tuesday 9/5/2017 after a week of pain, occasional fever and finally the development of a drainage canal on the palette (indication of an obvious abscess), I visited the clinic again to see the second doctor and the owner of the clinic. Instead of taking any actions, they referred me back to the first doctor, who was not available even on phone. The day after, finaly I was able to spoke to the first doctor, who prescribed antibiotics for 1 week and a 3d scan to examine the area. Note that the communication was over the phone. Finally, I was able to see the doctor after the antibiotics cycle who recommended to keep the tooth for monitoring for another 2 weeks before proceeding with any other actions. My overall impression of the clinic is that they do not care about their patients, they try to bully you through their doctoral degree, change their narrative as it suits them and of course they are extremely expensive.

Fantastic experience: Excellent, all the staff including our wonderful dentist Dr. GRACE.

Negative experience: The actual dentistry seems fine and competent. The problem is price and helpfulness of office service. First, there are far less expensive dentists here so keep shopping. Also, during my first exam, they immediately wanted to sell me on an orthodontics solution. But, the last straw was when I asked for their help to re-print an invoice converted into USD so that I could file for my flexible spending account. No accommodation with that. Time to go somewhere else.
