Fantastic experience: I had my first ever tooth extracted in this clinic and I had a very positive experience. As I’ve never undergone this procedure before, I was afraid and anxious. I’m very grateful to Dr Raj who has made me feel at ease as she was very attentive, careful and professional. She did explain everything before and during the process. It wasn’t painful at all, which was very important to me. I also appreciated the special technique for faster healing when they take your blood before the extraction of the tooth. I had a dull ache for a few days after the operation but that was expected and it wore off quite quickly. Overall, I highly recommend this clinic, especially Dr Raj. Thank you for your help! Generally, the staff is very friendly and welcoming, the location is convenient and what is more important, my insurance Daman is accepted here, so, there is no headache with reimbursement. There will be another review later as I have an implant done here.

Fantastic experience: A DENTAL JOURNEY - OUR TRYST WITH DESTINY: My tryst with dentists started early; between ages 16-18 while a cadet on the Training Ship Dufferin. When just 18 and still a first year Cadet at sea my experience with the dentist in Cairo (Egypt) was negatively impressionable. The dentist concluded a tooth needed to be extracted. Once done he by his own admission extracted a wrong tooth, begged my pardon and without as much as batting an eyelid, extracted the adjacent one! I wed Shabnam in summer of 1972. She started sailing with me almost immediately. I was facing but one serious health issue. I would sporadically suffer from unbearable shooting pain in the right hemisphere of my skull. The pain was more profound whenever I laughed. Doctors in Madras after EEG tests gave me all clear but my shooting pain persisted. The GP then coyly advised me to ‘stop’ laughing’ On one of our trips to Scotland Shabnam had to seek dental attention. Just her luck, she was taken to a Dental College to receive treatment and there, the student dentists had a field day at each session, making a Guinea Pig out of her. Shabnam who had a perfect pair of teeth before Dundee - was left to fend for herself thereafter, causing her to visit one dentist after another and sadly each time feeling worse than the previous time ☹️ All of the above was during an era when Dentists did not have drills with accompanying ’water jets’. Shabnam suffered from chronic bleeding gums. ENTER DR. RAJBALA JAJU (Circa 1996): ‘Gentle Dental Care’ - a dentist’s clinic operated out of a garage in Belscot Building, next door to our apartment in Lokhandwala Complex, Mumbai. The year/s 1984/85; owned and run by Dr. Rajbala Jaju - a dentist you must meet and get attended to, to find out why it is so said; as in ‘Gentle Dental Care’? Dr. Jaju; a character, so unique one could but only fall in love with her. Blunt to the core, displaying confidence with both pride and humility she always carried an attitude that would let anyone drop their guard. I briefed Dr. Jaju on my past experiences with the dentists, my shooting pains from 17 years past, the EEG Et al. She then went on to grope every nook and corner of my mouth and determined that the gap (created by the two extractions in Cairo 27 years ago) needed to be tackled immediately. She suspected that the hollow in my mouth in way of the exposed gums could be the cause of my shooting pains and boy, was she right? Nail on the head. The treatment for me was literally the Silver Bullet; one that changed my life for the better, for all of the future. I fell in love with this professional chatterbox of a dentist; someone who would ask questions while working on you and keep talking leaving no opportunity for the patient to speak. Double whammy for the patient. Next it was Shabnam’s turn; impressed seeing the results from Dr Jaju’s work on me she agreed to hand herself over to Dr. Jaju. Shabnam too was examined closely, diagnosed and a line of treatment was decided upon. Shabnam’s gums were sutured as a consequence and lo! Once again Dr. Jaju’s magic worked. From then until this date in 2023 Shabnam has not complained of bleeding gums. Come Circa 1999/2000 - Dr. Jaju wound up her practice in Bombay and emigrated to Abu Dhabi. As a consequence, we lost contact, and for an extended period. It was my prayer that when I did locate Dr. Jaju, she would still be a practicing dentist. My Eureka moment was when I found Dr Jaju, her address in Abu Dhabi and went so far as to immediately establish contact over WhatsApp. Yet another promise to Shabnam, kept and the ‘Cherry on the Cake’ - that it was my 50th Anniversary gift to Shabnam My note would be incomplete without expressing our impressions of the clinic - nostalgically named ‘Gentle’. Impressive and worthy of a guided tour - with a team of specialists in attendance; while the mother-son duo in addition to providing their own specialised services, manage the show.

Fantastic experience: Best dental clinic, I always go to this clinic since 2018. I did my treatments with Dr. Raj, Dr. Kushal, and Dr. Haritha and didn’t feel any pain. Not a commercial clinic at all, they only suggest things you REALLY need. The clinic is clean, smells so nice, comfy, and everyone is treated well and politely.

Fantastic experience: I can't express how relieved I am to have found Gentle Dental! I have always hated going to the dentist, which led to the development of issues that I finally dealt with last week. Dr. Kushal and Dr. Raj are knowledgeable, honest, and kind and put me completely at ease. Most importantly, they were - true to the name - very gentle! I had an abscess in a previously root canaled tooth. They assessed my case and candidly presented a couple of different treatment plans. I decided to go with an extraction (which is initially what I wanted to avoid) on their recommendation and it was definitely the right call. Unlike the recovery after my wisdom teeth extraction which I did under general anesthesia in the US, the recovery for this was much easier, likely due to the PRP add-on. I'm no longer so terrified of going to the dentist and will definitely make it a regular thing going forward!

Fantastic experience: I had a very very good experience with gentle dental. I went for a filling which I have had no problems with and even though I had gone halfway through the procedure of getting a night guard, the dentist said he no longer recommended it in my case. They gave me a refund for the guard and I couldn’t have appreciated their honesty and hospitality anymore. Amazing.
