Negative experience: I got a dental crown and paid more than 5,000AED for it. I even got a fancy warantee in case something should happen to the crown. Sadly, about one year later the crown fell off. I made the clinic aware of the issue. However, they choose to ignore it and do not want to honour the warranty. Now the money is gone and I have a stump of a tooth in my mouth.

Negative experience: I had sent this email 3 times as a complaint to Dr Joy, I'm disappointed and sad to write this review but unfortunately I never received a reply and no demonstration of any accountability from them both? Please see below.... F.T.A.O. Dr. Joy Antony Good Morning, Unfortunately, this is not to make an appointment but to make a complaint in regard to one of your staff members at Palm Jumeirah. As a dental service that serve the public, I could not find a compliment, comments and complaints section. My wife has been recently attending your dental clinic at the Palm Jumeirah and under the care of Dr Calum. My wife had an appointment arranged with Dr Calum last Wednesday 12th February 2025. As my wife was going to Italy on Monday 17th February it was advised by Dr Calum. My wife needed to see Dr Marc for a root treatment because of any potential pain while she is away in Italy for 2 weeks, as this particular area of treatment was not in Dr Calum's specialty, although this never happened. In the meantime - Dr Calum has been working with my wife under his care and treatment and has been very supportive throughout. In the past my wife has had some very bad experiences with dentists and Dr Calum has been brilliant, due to my wife (as a consequence of the past experiences), unfortunately has left my wife feeling nervous and feeling slight lack of confidence in dentists and as a consequence understandable. The day of the appointment was to return the same week on Friday 14th Feb (Valentine's day) to see Dr Marc. My wife came out of that dental clinic feeling very distressed and in tears on that day. To be honest I have never seen my wife like that before and I had 25 missed calls all within one hour. It has taken us over 6 years to arrange for my wife to finally see a dentist because of the bad experiences and damage caused to her teeth by dentists in the past and that was completely ruined in 10 minutes after seeing Dr Marc that day. I was surprised that no or any member of staff followed this up after that, not even just a phone call to ask if she was ok and why she left upset? I am not happy with this service my wife received, and very disappointed and let down especially with Dr Marc. He commented on her saying 'oh so you're the nervous patient then'? from then on it went from bad to worse within just 10 minutes of his care and I found this quite insensitive and unprofessional approach to nervous patients. This does not provide any confidence in patients receiving care and treatment. I thought that your clinics, with your good reputation and patients paying slightly more than the average dental clinic, helped specialize with nervous patients from bad experiences in the past received from bad dental practices. I was under the impression that your particular service would deliver a much more careful and sensitive approach. A much more positive 'person' or 'patient' centered care based on how you positively promote your business and the good reviews you do receive. Unfortunately, and with regret my wife does not want to return to your clinic. However, from the experience my wife has received. I would like to say how brilliant Dr Calum and also the friendly support my wife has received from the reception staff during that time, have all been very supportive and helpful throughout the service that my wife received, all delivered a very good standard of service and care to make a company owner proud. A big Thank you to them. As it's your business I thought you have a right to know and provide you insight and make you aware on behalf of my wife. (ended email) Just to add to this, that on reflection as I get older and wiser from this personal experience until the day 14/02/2025. You can never measure a true company or person, especially those providing a service of good dental care and part of that service is to deliver with 'empathy' and 'sincerity' to all 'patients'. They are not just there to support you when things go right but just as important on how there honestly measure when things at times go wrong.
