Negative experience: I had a very unpleasant experience at Aster Clinic, Damascus Street, which I feel is important to share. I had booked an appointment online to consult a gastroenterologist. However, upon arrival at the clinic, I was told that there was no appointment showing under my name. I later realized the booking might have been done incorrectly from my side. I then asked the receptionist how many patients were waiting, and he assured me that I was the next and only patient. Based on this information and because I had a very tight schedule, I decided to proceed and paid the consultation fee. Unfortunately, I ended up waiting over 15 minutes before even being called by the nurse for initial verification. After that, I was again asked to wait for the doctor, and was told it would take another 10–15 minutes. I explained that I had an important meeting and would not have waited had I been informed correctly. At that point, a staff member from guest relations, Ms. Elby Eldo, approached me. Instead of offering support, she was dismissive and argued that she was not responsible for the information given by reception. She told me again that once the doctor arrives, I would be the first to be seen. However, when the doctor did come, I was not called, and other patients were allowed in before me. When I asked Ms. Elby about this, she ignored me and continued using her phone, showing complete disregard for my concern. I requested to speak to someone else, and she rudely raised her voice, then called another staff member to "handle" me. Thankfully, this staff member directed me to Ms. Ardra, who was very understanding and helped me see the doctor immediately. However, by that time, I had already lost over 1.5 hours, missed my important meeting, and experienced unnecessary emotional stress. This entire situation could have been avoided with proper communication at the reception and respectful behavior from the guest relations staff. While I appreciate the support I finally received from Ms. Ardra, the unprofessionalism and lack of empathy shown by Ms. Elby Eldo was deeply disappointing. I hope Aster Clinic will take this feedback seriously and provide proper training to ensure no other patient has to go through the same experience.

Fantastic experience: I recently had my teeth cleaned and received two fillings from Dr. Fathima Nifla, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the care I received. She was incredibly professional, gentle, and made the entire experience very comfortable. The cleaning was thorough yet painless, and the fillings were done with great attention to detail. Negative experience: Extremely Disorganized and Unprofessional Radiology Department I had a very frustrating and disappointing experience at this hospital, especially in the radiology department. Despite arriving fasting for a scheduled scan, I was made to wait for hours while only pregnant patients were given priority. While it’s understandable that expecting mothers may need attention, it’s completely unfair to ignore other fasting patients—some of whom were elderly and waiting for a long time without food or water. There was no proper queue or token system, leading to confusion and unnecessary stress. The radiologist was not only arrogant and unapproachable, but also left a patient unattended mid-scan and walked out in search of a nurse, without offering any explanation or assurance. This showed a shocking lack of professionalism and care. People come to hospitals hoping for competent and compassionate service. Unfortunately, this experience highlighted disorganization, poor patient management, and a lack of empathy from the radiology staff.

Moreover, the way some of the receptionists interacted with us gave the impression that we were there for free services, which is both unprofessional and disrespectful. Their tone and attitude were not welcoming or courteous, and this reflects poorly on the overall experience. However, the behavior and inefficiency at the reception overshadowed the positive aspects of my visit. Previously Muhammed Nusrath, Was attending then he went for prayers without informing that he is going. Could’ve managed with a good customer service rather than bad. It was not a good experience.

He is an excellent pediatrician — extremely knowledgeable, patient, and very good with children. We had a very positive experience with him and would highly recommend him for pediatric care. However, the clinic management leaves much to be desired. Despite having a prior appointment, we had to wait 45–50 minutes before being called in. The waiting area was quite disorganized, and there seemed to be no proper system in place to manage the appointments and walk-ins efficiently. Overall — excellent doctor, but the clinic’s administrative experience needs serious improvement

Positive experience: As a first-time visitor to I Aster clinic in Al Qusais i was pleasantly surprised. I will focus on the service I received. As I walked in and tried to navigate the queung machine, the receptionist, *Mr. Karthike Vilas Jadhav* immediately saw that I didn't know what to do and immediately assisted me to ease my registration. Thankfulky, his assistance didn't stop there as he continued to assist and guide me throughout my 4 hours(about) there. But I want to commend specific employees who made my initial visit a memorable one. 1. Nurse Ruby. She did something most nurses in Dubai dont do. Usually, after an ECG, the nurse detaches the plug and leaves the adhesive for you to do. This is frustrating because a patient may not know how many leads are placed on them. But *Nurse Ruby* had an easy way to remove both!!! Thank you for your extra care. It makes a difference. 2. *Nurse Ajeesha. I know it's not easy incerting a needle into a patient with a needle phobia, but she did just that. Thank you! It was one of the better needle incertion I've had. Thank you!! Doctors: *Dr.Fenaz Abdul Fathah* Thank you for listening. Many doctors have a deficiency in this area and I know when Im nervous in a doctor's office...I TALK! You were kind and patient to forward me to the proper specialists. Your patience is greatly appreciated! *Dr. Imran Khan* After a year and a half of coughing, 4 weeks of additional symptoms, he also listened. Thank you!!! I must admit that I was skeptical of him resolving my issues, but he proved to be better than one of the higheat ranked hospitals in Dubai. What they couldn't solve in a week admitted into the hospital...I feel the benefits of his interventions in one day. Thank you soooo much for feeling relaxed for the first time in a long time. You are truly an asset to Aster. I hope Aster knows this. Thank you, Aster, for your *top-notch* employees. Negative experience: Dear Aster Clinic Team, I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding the service I received during my visit to your clinic yesterday morning. Due to high fever and body pain, I visited the nearest Dafza Aster Clinic. Before proceeding with the consultation, I submitted my Emirates ID to the receptionist to confirm whether my insurance would be accepted at your facility. After checking, she informed me that my insurance was covered under this clinic and advised me to go ahead. Following the consultation, the doctor advised Paracetamol IV, as well as CBC and Influenza tests. The receptionist informed me that Paracetamol IV would not be covered by insurance, but the CBC and Influenza tests would be. Based on this information, I paid for the IV injection, received the treatment, obtained my sick leave certificate, and left the clinic. I also paid the co-payment for the consultation, CBC, and Influenza test as advised. However, I was shocked to later receive a message from my insurance company stating that none of the services at Aster Clinic were covered under my plan. I immediately contacted my insurance provider, who confirmed that this facility is not included in my insurance network. I then called Aster Customer Service and received a callback from the clinic, where I was informed that I would need to pay the full amount for the tests if I wanted to collect the CBC and Influenza reports, as the services were not covered. This situation is extremely disappointing. Had the receptionist provided accurate information from the start, I would have gone to a clinic that was within my insurance network. This is not a minor mistake—it reflects a serious lack of proper process and miscommunication that has resulted in both financial loss and emotional stress. I would like to request the following: 1. A clear explanation of why incorrect insurance information was provided to me. 2. Assurance that proper training and procedures will be implemented to prevent such incidents in the future. I hope Aster Clinic will treat this issue with the seriousness it deserves. As a patient, I trusted your clinic with my healthcare needs, and I feel that this trust has been compromised.
